About For the Love of Reading

For The Love of Reading exists to expand the minds and hearts of students in Knox County Schools through the pure joy of reading. We provide a fun, free “bookstore experience” at the schools we serve. Twice a year, children in grades Pre-K through 5th can choose from a variety of fantastic titles, featuring a multitude of reading levels, genres, and works with diverse representation. In addition, our volunteer readers participate weekly in engaging read-aloud storytimes with classrooms of elementary students.
