About Fordham Consulting
Fordham Consulting Ltd was founded by Dan Fordham in 2004 and provides the construction industry with structural solutions, designs, surveys and advice. Based in Cambridge and working throughout London, East Anglia and East Midlands; providing solutions for Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Offshore sectors. Our solutions are efficient and flexible using the latest software; covering a wide range of projects and for a varied client base, including Architects, Developers, Contractors, Manufacturers and end users. Residential: With a great range of experience; projects include all from simple residential extensions to complex refurbishments with multi-level basement extensions. Working in both rural and urban environments, on historic to new build properties, requires a flexible mind and even more flexible solutions and designs. Commercial: With a depth of knowledge for steel and concrete framed buildings, along with load bearing masonry structures, the project history includes refurbishment, conversion and new build commercial projects. Industrial: Using the latest 3-D software we have designed and assessed complex lattice structures in the bulk material handling sector. Working closely with the manufacturer of the end product allows us to be part of the R&D team as well as part of the final design process in conjunction with the fabrication detailers. Offshore: We have a history of working with offshore companies and suppliers to the offshore industry. Mainly with secondary elements, pipe supports, onshore building installations, subsea protection systems and platform interfaces. Surveys: We provide a range of structural surveys, including; structural surveys to accompany a building surveyor during a house buying process; condition surveys; defect reporting; accidental and fire damaged buildings. We are always looking to learn, expand and change with the times. This means we are moving into the use of BIM and 3D modelling.
