About Foreign Body Productions
Foreign Body Productions Ltd is an award winning production company based in London. Founded in 2018, our practice started from facilitating collaborative film workshops with different community groups, making participatory short films about a variety of topics and providing pathways into creative industry. This collaborative model formed the backbone of the work we have gone on to do, including documentary, short films, music videos and videography. Our tight-knit community of collaborators and clients is diverse and ever-growing, and we are always on the lookout for new ideas and methods to work with. Our debut documentary Zágon won the Royal Television Society award for best non-scripted post-graduate film, and our clients and collaborators range from fine artists and musicians to galleries and museums. We have collaborated with Hetain Patel, Emma Smith, Amartey Golding, Ai Wei Wei, CIRCA, FORMA whilst in the music world we have created music videos for the likes of Woom, Legss, Nukuluk and Black Bordello. Our short films, documentaries and music videos have been platformed by the likes of DIY Magazine, CLASH, Whitstable Biennale, Kingsgate Project Space, Aesthetica Short Film Festival and Jean Rouch International. Mateo Villanueva Brandt is a self-shooting documentary director and editor. Informed by a background in social anthropology, his filmmaking style relies on intimacy, drawing out the humanity behind every story. Luke Kulukundis is an artist, producer and facilitator working across film and music. Coming to film via sound and writing, these two disciplines along with a strong motivation for community work have shaped his methodology. Kulukundis and Villanueva met through making music together as teenagers, before moving into film through short experiments and shared philosophies in their early 20s. Their two-man documentary shooting style focuses on trust and the building of true relationships with subjects and collaborators.
