Forest City Economic Development (FCED) is the economic and community development organization that serves Forest City, Iowa. Together with partners—Forest City Chamber of Commerce, Grow Forest City, and the City of Forest City—they drive economic growth with one voice, one mission, and as one region. Through innovation, strategic planning, and collaboration, FCED grows opportunity, helps create jobs, and promotes Forest City as the best place to start a business, build a career, and raise a family. Our centralized Midwest region offers multi-modal transportation options, affording easy and cost-effective access to markets across the country. Crisscrossed by four interstates and over a dozen state and federal highways, we are withing a five-hour truck drive of Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, Des Moines, Indianapolis, and Omaha. We are also within a day's drive of the majority of the U.S. business population and parts of Canada. Industrial Parks—Rail Park and Nerem Existing Industries—Winnebago Industries, 3M Distribution, Waldorf University, Mosaic Forest City Economic Development exists to facilitate the continual growth of the Forest City community while improving the quality of life for residents.
