About Fort Collins Stars
The Fort Collins Girls Softball Club was formed in 1996 to provide an additional option for girls who wanted to play softball. The initial two teams that year of our humble beginnings were called the Fort Collins Explosion and the Fort Collins Extreme. The “Stars” Were Born The club switched to fast pitch softball in 1997 and the “Stars” were born. Since the switch to fast pitch, the Stars have fostered the love of softball with 1000’s of girls! Today, we see ourselves as the premiere choice for competitive softball in Northern Colorado! More Than Competition Make no mistake – we are here to compete. But we also believe in a well-rounded individual, of which sport is just a part of what makes up that person. Our teams are not just teams – they are groups of girls that will remember each other for the rest of their lives, through experiences, memories, competition and service, these girls become more than friends.
