About Fortis Therapy Center
We specialize in pediatric physical therapy, adult orthopedic physical therapy, gait training for special populations, and fitness solutions for those coming out of our physical therapy programming. All therapy is exclusively delivered in a 1 on 1 basis allowing our patients and clients to work directly with their therapist or trainer to realize the best results! In January 2022, Fortis initiated Project Walk which provides children with Cerebral Palsy or neurological / muscular diagnoses the opportunity to receive intensive physical therapy focusing on increasing lower extremity and core strength, increasing postural strength and endurance, as well as increasing lower extremity coordination. Project Walk is being delivered at no-cost to the families. Through a 2021 grant from the Anderson Charitable Foundation, we acquired the PhysioGait System which offsets the effects of gravity to help patients perform proper gait mechanics. This specialized equipment makes Fortis unique in its physical therapy and fitness training capabilities in the southwest Austin area. Through cash and sliding scale payments for therapy and fitness programs, combined with fundraising efforts, Fortis hopes to never turn away a family in need of our services.
