About Fostering Hope New England
Fostering Hope empowers churches and individuals to care for children and families impacted by foster care. We dream of the day when ZERO youth in foster care are waiting for a safe, well-supported family to care for them. We call this vision Project ZERO. To achieve this vision, we help churches to integrate foster care into their community. Firstly, we INSPIRE churches to care more deeply about the cause and to take action. Then, we INVITE churches to engage with the foster care community based on their capacity and gifting. Once churches choose the best pathway for their engagement, we EQUIP them to step into the story with excellence and sustainability. Finally, we unleash them to ENGAGE and make a difference in the lives of those affected by foster care. We use this same rhythm of Inspire, Invite, Equip, and Engage to train our church partners in developing a foster care culture within their community. This process has been tested and proven to be effective in making foster care engagement a sustainable part of a church's culture. Fostering Hope's model is designed to provide sustainable support for families who enter the foster care system. We build teams of caring individuals who offer wrap-around services to foster and adoptive families, providing crucial encouragement and support. Additionally, we offer evidence-based, trauma-informed training to caregivers who work with youth who have experienced complex trauma.
