About Foundation for Healthy Schools
The Foundation for Healthy Schools is a not-for-profit organization with 501c3 charitable status. Our intent is to connect children to the actual cultivation of the produce eaten for health and wellness. The feedback from educators is how our kids in general, have little to no knowledge of where their food comes from, and why they should eat it to be healthy. Healthy relates to the quality of the ingestion, quality of knowledge, and quality of integration. We plan to introduce a wellness model to access the most efficient cultivation systems. Through the hands-on approach, the kids connect to nature and health. Research around the practical implementation identifies how retention rates increase dramatically through the doing and engaging more senses, evolving neurons related to the purpose behind the doing. By uniting governments (city, county, state, federal), politicians, boards of education, parents and their children, teachers, principals, counselors, nutritionists, healthcare professionals, cafeteria staff, community and industry, we bring all stakeholders together to incorporate the best science to make for healthier children with the nutrition knowledge and eating habits to set them up for healthier lives. We believe the sugar-laced ultra-processed manufactured industry GRAS products lack the nutritional needs of a growing child. We ALL have a stake in the future of our children. This program is designed to scale on a national basis and we welcome your support.
