Paradigm Squared (Paradigm2) Ministry Concepts exists to encourage churches to develop their ministries to and with older adults, to identify and provide resources for such ministry, and to create a community of leaders passionate about senior adult ministry. Paradigm2 seeks to encourage a paradigm shift from age based ministry to an age responsive ministry. The church today often sees aging as a liability and too often we either focus too much on the challenges related to growing older or to ignore them. Paradigm2 seeks to encourage a model for ministry that recognizes and celebrates the blessings that are a part of older age, while being realistic about the associated challenges. Paradigm2 gets its name from the PARaDIGM Paradigm. PARaDIGM is an acronym that stands for Provide Age-related Resources and Develop Inter Generational Ministries. It's an approach that responds to the challenges by identifying resources to help cope with those challenges, and that responds to the blessings of older age by seeking to share those blessings through inter generational ministries.
