About FourFour Pictures

FourFour Pictures is an independent motion picture production company currently based in Charleston, South Carolina. The company was founded by Zachary Bucholtz, a graduate of the University of Michigan's film program and screenwriting sub-concentration. Our first short, "Ann Arborland," premiered in April 2013 at the historic Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our goals as a company are to produce high-quality movies that are both entertaining and impactful. We have three main goals, and will strive to make sure that all of our movies will meet these three goals: 1. Entertain the audience. Whether it is evoking laughter or drawing tears, we hope our movies will keep you interested the whole time. 2. Make an impact. There is no medium more powerful than the cinema. Movies can inspire, move, and influence people in ways nothing else in the world can, and we hope our movies do that. All of our films are chosen for production based on their subject matter and tone being consistent with this goal. 3. Be of the highest quality. From cinematography to music and everything in-between, no detail is too small. With those goals in mind, we have put into place a plan to produce a total of fifteen (15) short films during the 2014 calendar year. Of those, five will be 15-40 minute narrative films; the remaining ten will all be under 5 minutes in length and be linked one common theme: childhood.
