About Fox Chapel Area Adult Education
Fox Chapel Area Adult Education (FCAAE) is an adult education 501(c)(3) non-profit based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, governed by a board of directors. The Board is comprised of volunteers who are residents of the school district. FCAAE was created in 1962 as an agreement between a committee of school district residents and the school district as a way to extend the use of facilities to the community. For 62 years FCAAE has provided access to Fox Chapel Area School District’s (FCASD) facilities and resources to offer a wide variety of courses in art, cooking, fitness & health, cooking, wine & spirits, history, language, photography, technology, and more. Classes run from one night to multi-week offerings. Teachers are community specialists who enjoy sharing their passion with adult students. They include district employees or former employees. FCAAE relies only on tuition revenue to continue serving the community. FCAAE receives no district funding nor tax dollars for support. Registration is open to all adults, whether they are local residents or not.
