About Francesco Elia Services

I am a qualified accountant with 15+ years’ experience at executive and board level. I have a broad experience across a range of sectors including social housing, environmental services, manufacturing and FMCG. Driven by positive outcomes, I have particular strengths in organisations growth and transformation and drive efficiency savings through effective stakeholders’ engagement, people management and communication skills. Until recently I was the Executive Director of operations for Flagship Housing Group, the largest housing association in the Eastern Region, with an asset base of £1bn and a turnover of c£120m. Prior to this I served as the Executive Finance Director and then the Executive Commercial Director for Circle Housing Group, one of the UK’s largest housing associations with a turnover of £350m and over £3bn asset base. I enjoy variety in my work, and my strengths lean towards the analytics and projects. In September 2015 I decided to run my own consultancy business, providing financial and operational services to the social housing sector. My services include project works such as co-ordination of Joint Ventures and partnerships, data analytics to generate clearer management information and interim management services. I recently also researched and developed a competitors’ analysis tool to assist housing associations with their strategies, including rescues, M&A, housing stock rationalisation, and opportunities to sell services to other social housing providers. I am highly strategic, but I also have a very hands on approach. My services are balanced by a blend of commercial, financial and operational experience, which have equipped me with the necessary tools to provide first class professional services.
