About Francis House Children's Hospice

Francis House Children’s Hospice provides support, friendship and high levels of clinical care to the families of children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We support approximately 2,000 people at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end of life care and emotional and bereavement support. Children, young people and family members are welcomed into a friendly, home from home environment. The support we offer includes physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual care from a dedicated multi-disciplinary care team. Telephone Support is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. From our site in Didsbury, Francis House is a lifeline to more than 550 families from across Greater Manchester including Stockport, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Manchester, Salford and Trafford. Francis House Children’s Hospice comprises two separate facilities: Francis House - Accommodation for whole families who have a sick child. Francis Lodge - An age appropriate facility for teenagers and young adults. Francis House and Francis Lodge exist to provide appropriate care for children and young people with life threatening conditions and the necessary support and short-term rest for their families.
