About FRED Student Entrepreneurship

FRED gives high school and university students the opportunity to learn about and experience entrepreneurship. Our unique educational program blends theoretical concepts with experiential learning and self-development that seeks to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset for students. FRED immerses students into real-world experiences of entrepreneurs, where conversation, collaboration, community and self-confidence leads to adaptability in a rapidly changing world of work. Whilst the FRED program is anchored on the principle of entrepreneurship, our ambition is to create a next generation that are creative thinkers and problem solvers, regardless of their career aspirations. FRED is a 3-year commitment that takes students on an educational journey of self-discovery and learning anchored around the journey of a start-up entrepreneur. The FRED curricular is engaging as it is interactive through the inclusion of multimedia, built-in assessments, Class Conversations and an AI Tutor to personalise and reinforce learning. The FRED Huddle provides a platform for goal setting and accountability, personal introspection, reflection and guidance and facilitates conversations, collaboration and community within an international peer-group of like-minded students. Our Fred AI Coach guides students through personal challenges and opportunities. Experiential Learning. FRED offers gamified access to experiential learning through in-person learning events with successful entrepreneurs, and they are provided the opportunity to pitch for advice, mentorship and meaningful Grade 11 work experience. Students with viable business plans will have the opportunity to pitch for funding support. Experiential Learning gives students the opportunity to experience the real-world of work, whilst enhancing their employability.
