About Free Ski Himalaya
We are specialists in organizing and leading outdoor sport programs in the Himalaya. We run freeriding and powder snow programs in Gulmarg, Kashmir - a new hardly known ski resort in the Himalaya with a vast ski area with numerous off piste descent options with up to 2'000 vertical meters. Gulmarg is presently one of the best back country ski areas for skiers and snowboarders. On demand we can also organize heli ski trips and free touring expeditions to various destinations in the Himalayas. We are also leading trekking expeditions to remote areas in the Nepali and Indian Himalaya, namely to Spiti, Ladakh, the forbidden kingdom of Mustang and around the Manaslu and the Annapurna. Our activities in the Himalaya started with trekking expeditions in Nepal and later we added Spiti-Ladakh as summer destination to our trekking proposals. With the opening of phase 2 of the gondola service in Gulmarg in the winter of 2005/2006 we began to run off piste and free ski programs there. Since then dozens of skiers and snowboarders from all around the globe joined our programs to discover and explore the fantastic powder snow runs on Mt. Apharwat, 4'124m, one of the highest gondola serviced ski mountains in the world.
