About Freedom By Design University of Minnesota
We are Freedom By Design, the community service arm of AIAS working in cooperation with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. Freedom By Design uses the design talents of students to directly impact people within their community through both design and construction. We use design and design engagement to address physical, educational, environmental, socio-economic and cultural barriers throughout our community. Through these solutions, Freedom by Design also provides students with real-world experience working outside of studio and in the real world. By working on these volunteer projects, members of Freedom by Design serve their communities and experience the real-world effects of good architecture and design.
