Freedom from Within equips and empowers prisoners to Unleash the Masterpiece already inside of them to live meaningful and productive lives inside and outside of prison. Freedom from Within is transforming lives everyday within the Illinois prison system. At Freedom from Within, we believe in second chances. Our organization is dedicated to offering resources, guidance, and educational programs aimed at empowering individuals who were formerly incarcerated. We strive to create an environment where they can rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. While our programs during incarceration can show prisoners how to break bad habits and transform internally, they are still on their own when it comes to finding employment and financial support once they are released. That’s why we offer a Second Chance Hiring Network. We work with community leaders and business owners to find and create opportunities for employment for our graduates. The accomplishment of Freedom from Within is credited to the generous contributions of its Board, local business partners, and individuals with a heart for those in need of a second chance.
