Created in 2012 by dancer and fitness professional Amanda Strand and executive producer/music director Benjamin Bidlack, Freedom Group Exercise is a family of joyful, effective, high-quality group fitness formats, including Freedom BANG™ and Freedom Barre™. Freedom BANG™ (formerly BANG Power Dance™) is an urban-inspired mixed-fitness group exercise class. Named for the signature “5-4-3-2-BANG!” group countdown during the peak song of the class, BANG is a unique fusion of boxing, aerobics, intervals, hip hop, world dance and bodyweight training. The BANG workout can be enhanced with optional 1/2 lb. weighted gloves. We offer washable BANG weighted gloves or you can bring your own. Freedom Barre is a music-driven, ballet-inspired group exercise class. Choreographed to current hits, classic Motown, jazz, classical and original music produced by in-house producer DJ FREEDOM, Freedom Barre strikes the perfect balance of ballet aesthetic and modern fitness techniques. Freedom Barre is for anyone and everyone, whether you’re a long-time dancer or you haven’t pointed your toe since you were six years old. We are here to serve, empower and inspire – to bring unity through fitness. We build our classes to inspire Instructors and participants, and enable sustained success for our gym partners: – Carefully-designed classes from start to finish, including intervals of higher and lower intensity, release on video every 3 months – High quality, safe and effective choreography that’s fun!! – Perfect sync to our custom mixes and music, including exclusive original music and remixes by our in-house producer DJ BANG – Selected choreography and music options for tailoring classes for a variety of venues and participants.
