About Freepoint Eco-Systems
Freepoint Eco-Systems turns plastic waste into a substitute for fossil-derived oil that is used to develop a wide variety of new, hydrocarbon-based products. Our mission: turn plastic waste back into a reusable form to help address the global plastic waste crisis and the depletion of natural resources through innovative upcycling solutions. Using advanced recycling technology, we can upcycle over 80% of the types of plastic produced, including complex, multi-layered plastic that mechanical recyclers cannot recycle. The resulting product, pyrolysis oil or “PyOil,” is a substitute for fossil-derived oil that is made from plastic otherwise destined for landfills or incinerators. Additionally, PyOil is equivalent to virgin feedstocks, so it can satisfy the strict requirements of food and medical grade applications that are generally not achievable through mechanical recycling. By creating value from plastic waste, we can boost recycling rates, reduce carbon emissions, conserve fossil fuels and divert plastic waste from landfills, incinerators and the environment.
