Il Freight Leaders Council – già Freight Leaders Club – è una libera associazione privata e apartitica fondata nel 1991 a Milano che riunisce aziende leader della filiera della logistica (produttori, caricatori, operatori, trasportatori, gestori di infrastrutture per tutte le modalità di movimentazione possibili: strada, ferrovia, aria e mare), con lo scopo di formulare pareri, giudizi ed indirizzi rivolti alle istituzioni per contribuire allo sviluppo e alla competitività della logistica sostenibile. L’associazione intende essere un punto d’incontro sulla strada delle soluzioni, mettendo a disposizione le esperienze e le professionalità dei suoi soci – tutte realtà imprenditoriali di primaria importanza, sia pubbliche che private – che sono in grado di fornire una capacità di analisi «trasversale», in grado cioè di tenere conto delle problematiche dell’intera filiera della logistica, proponendone una lettura d’insieme che costituisce una singolarità positiva in un dibattito contrassegnato da posizioni di parte e monosettoriali.
