About French Connection Academy

Welcome - Bienvenue - Velkommen ! We are a new international summer academy for 42 young pianists and string players on pre-conservatory-level and conservatory-level, which was held for the first time in Odense the 1st-6th of July 2023. A big part of our academy is - you may have guessed it from our name - a cultural exchange between Denmark and France. This means that beyond the high level lessons and concert experiences, you have the opportunity to learn about the cultural history between the two countries and, meet great professors from both countries and the north. On top of that you can win professional concert opportunities in collaboration with festivals, academies and institutions in Denmark and France! As something new, we are very holistic in our approach to musicianship, which means we beside the traditional solo lessons offer personal/professional growth through coaching on our academy. We also believe that classical musicians are of many kinds, so no matter what dream you may have, we aim to help you develop a high level of musicianship, may it be as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, freelancer or a completely new version of classical musician hood. Last and most importantly - we are all here to learn and create new friendships for the great life it can be to be a musician.
