About Freshman Launch
Freshman Launch is an organization in the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Launch provides an experience tailored specifically for first-year business students to grow as leaders and young professionals as they begin their time as Longhorns. Throughout the year, members will work to understand their values as a leader, explore how they function in a team, learn from speakers and established frameworks, and develop leadership skills such as communication and the integration of concepts including ethics and service. Along with enhancing their leadership abilities, members will partake in professional development workshops regarding topics such as networking, public speaking, LinkedIn, resume development, and career path exploration. In the second semester, Launch members will put their knowledge into action, taking on a collaborative capstone project interacting with real Austin companies. Freshman Launch will not only be an environment for personal growth, but also a place to build a community of peers within McCombs
