Fri Up is the gateway to the Fribourg startup ecosystem, renowned for its dynamism and high-potential new projects, particularly in deep tech and bioeconomy. We support these ambitious teams to accelerate their development, especially when they need to move from prototype to market: growth strategy, market validation, fundraising, pitching, access to strategic partners, etc. At the same time, Fri Up manages the Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation, which grants pre-seed and seed loans, and works closely with Capital Risque Fribourg (growth financing) and the Economic Development Agency of the Canton of Fribourg (financial support). Our strong focus on the bioeconomy (biomaterials, bio-based molecules, FoodTech/AgriTech, circular economy, etc.) draws on an academic and industrial network to promote rapid establishment and growth in Fribourg. In 2026, the canton will host Bioket, a leading international event in this field. We also provide guidance to creators of “traditional” businesses through dedicated consulting interviews.
