About Friends of Friendless Churches

We rescue historic churches and chapels in England and Wales that are closed for regular worship, and threatened by demolition, decay or unsympathetic conversion. We repair and protect these buildings and keep them open so that all can enjoy their architecture, history, tranquility and timeless beauty. Maintaining and repairing heritage buildings is a considerable financial challenge, and it's getting more difficult every year. We rely on the generosity of our members and supporters to help us meet this challenge.
