About Friends of the American University of Afghanistan
Friends of The American University of Afghanistan (Friends of AUAF) is the development and communications center for the dedicated supporters of higher education in Afghanistan. Friends of AUAF is a corporation formed under the District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporation Act and is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. We are dedicated to supporting higher education in Afghanistan through entities such as AUAF, Afghanistan's only independent, private, not for profit, non-sectarian, coeducational institution of higher learning. In an effort to raise awareness for AUAF, Friends of AUAF hosts large-scale events across the United States to cultivate prospective donors; facilitates small corporate briefings; and advocates for continued educational development in Afghanistan. In addition to awareness events, Friends of AUAF is dedicated to forming partnerships with other organizations supporting Afghanistan and education, as well as soliciting monetary support from public and private donors.
