About Friends of the Children-SF Bay Area
Friends of the Children-SF Bay Area is a chapter of a nationwide organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty through salaried, professional mentoring. The national organization was founded in 1993. Our chapter began serving San Francisco Bay Area children in 2017. We employ trained, full-time professional mentors – we call them “Friends” – to provide a stable, caring, and sustained relationship in each child’s life for 12+ years, no matter what!
