Friendsview is a Christ-centered, 62-plus Life Plan Community in the heart of Newberg, Oregon, where residents shape daily life through shared values of compassion, integrity, dignity, and service. Here, neighbors pursue discovery and connection, whether through faith-based gatherings, volunteerism, or simply enjoying one another’s company, and warmly welcome anyone who embraces these principles. Rooted in Quaker heritage, Friendsview carries forward a tradition that began with Friends’ pioneering work in senior care more than a century ago. Inspired by that legacy, local Friends opened our doors in 1961 under the leadership of CharlesBeals, establishing Oregon’s only privately owned, not-for-profit TypeA Life Plan Community. For over six decades, strong local governance has kept us financially sound while we honor our founding mission through intergenerational ties to GeorgeFoxUniversity, robust educational and cultural programs, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, compassion, and resident-centered care.
