About Front Line Foundations of North America

Founded in 2020, Front Line Foundations (FLF) is a Vermont-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the town of Bellows Falls in beautiful southeastern Vermont. We are a small team of dedicated individuals who have a strong passion for the work that we do. At FLF, we provide skills-based mindfulness education and treatment for veterans and first responders to address the impact of post-traumatic stress. Each of us has experienced the impact of service-related trauma and post-traumatic stress personally, or in our immediate families. Because we are part of the community that we serve, we understand how the cumulative effects of uniformed services work can challenge personal well-being and change family dynamics. Rooted in a deep understanding of how trauma and the stress response affect the body and mind, we have developed a holistic approach for the treatment of post-traumatic stress, using ancient practices such as meditative movement, breathwork, meditation, and time in nature. These are practices that warriors have been using for thousands of years to harness the body’s natural ability to regulate itself. We have also developed a strong peer support network of alumni who have attended our five-day mindfulness program. This solid foundation of support is at the heart of the work that we do at FLF. Our staff and alumni are motivated to continue building and enriching this community of veterans and first responders. Together we walk this path of wellness, resiliency, and reclaiming our peace and joy.
