About Frontier Camp

Frontier Camp is a Christian summer camp and retreat center located in the Pineywoods of East Texas. Our purpose is to make disciples of Jesus by sharing God's Word in HIs creation. We love to serve and are centrally located for campers and guests from Houston, Austin, and DFW. We have one week summer camps for ages 7-17, weekend retreats for groups numbering from 12-400 and we have mission outreach camps for the fatherless and children of prisoners. Our recreation program includes wakeboarding, horseback riding, waterskiing, archery, riflery, ropes course, crafts and much more. We are located on Houston County Lake where we carry out our boating activities and we have a private cable wakeboard lake called Lake Maverick. We are every bit as serious about our spiritual program as we are about our recreation. We carry out our mission through evangelism and discipleship. We offer but do not pressure children or teens to make a decision. We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God and we present it from an evangelical, Bible Church perspective. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Although our camp and retreat fees sustain our operation, we depend on the financial gifts of others for scholarships and capital projects so that we can remain the best value in Christian camping. We have staffing opportunities for Christian, young people ages 16-25 who want to serve others. We offer our staff the opportunity to travel to Jacob's Well, our camp plant in Northern Haiti each January.
