About Frontline Justice

Frontline Justice is an initiative of the Office of American Possibilities Fund and a sponsored project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Inc. We are dedicated to addressing America's civil access to justice crisis by empowering a new category of legal helpers: Community Justice Workers. With over 120 million unresolved civil legal issues each year and 92% of low-income individuals unable to access the legal assistance they need, scalable solutions are urgently required. Community Justice Workers are ordinary people equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ability to support others in navigating their civil legal challenges. They are recruited from trusted roles such as social workers, health aides, librarians, counselors, teachers, faith leaders, and community leaders. These individuals are cross-trained to help their community members resolve life-altering civil legal needs. By democratizing access to legal help and expanding who can provide it, Frontline Justice aims to shift policy, build justice worker capacity, and grow a national movement.
