Frösö Handtryck, "FRÖSÖ HANDPRINT" is a swedish old pure handcraft textile printmakers and a colourful and expressive contemporary top design company on the island Frösön in lake Storsjön, Jämtland, Sweden - right in the heart of Scandinavia. Through our hands we have passed on an important heritage of Swedish art and design to people, homes and workspaces all over the world. And we work today at the same printing tables as when it all started, 1946. Under the brand "FRÖSÖ HANDTRYCK" you find our own collections of fabrics printed with patterns designed specifically for us by prominent swedish artists and designers as Chiqui Mattson, Pia Wallén, Wanja Djanaieff, Karin Mannerstål, Eva Jemt, Kajsa Aronsson, Kåre Henriksson, Filippa Reuterswärd, Kajsa-Tuva Henriksson m fl. Right now a new pattern is on it's way, designed by Maria Holmer Dahlgren who is the artist behind the identity artwork for Tate Modern giftshop. Our unique handcraft factory is frequently appointed to deliver bespoke prints - as when museums want to bring to life a ”sleeping beauty” pattern from their treasure vaults or when unique patterns are assigned for the decorating of particular and invaluable interiors. We are also entrusted the printing of a great number of designer fabrics for other scandinavian brands, as occasional little moomin trolls...
