Founded in 2014, FULL BODIED PRODUCTIONS is a UK-based independent film company dedicated to bold, emotionally resonant storytelling with a distinctive visual style. From biopics and psychological dramas to experimental dance films, our work blends cinematic craft with theatrical flair, always putting character and narrative first. Our most celebrated project to date is the multi-award-winning short film "Òran na h‑Eala" (Song of the Swan), a haunting, visually rich tribute to ballerina and film icon Moira Shearer. Written and directed by Steve Exeter, and starring Shannon Davidson in a career-defining performance, the film reimagines the tension between Shearer’s devotion to dance and the lure of cinematic fame. With its painterly cinematography, original score, and lyrical voiceover, "Òran na h‑Eala" captivated audiences worldwide. The film won Best Short Film and Best Lead Actress at numerous international festivals. Critics have praised it as “spellbinding,” “a masterclass in tone and design,” and “a poetic homage to the golden age of British ballet and film.” In everything we produce, FULL BODIED champions originality, craft, and artistic risk.
