About Functions and Gatherings

I started Functions and Gatherings for two reasons. Number one: One of my personal goals is to just do really gay shit all the time. Number two: Queer weddings get treated as a service when they're really just like any other wedding. Most wedding planners just don't know what to do if there's not a "bride" and "groom." So many wedding traditions are based in misogynistic, heteronormative values and my dream is to break that down to create new rituals and traditions void of gendered language and stereotyping to celebrate each partnership's uniqueness.
