FundAFID Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities. Given the Humanitarian Crisis prevalent in Venezuela at this time, we are focusing all our efforts to providing most needed relief to Venezuelan children with disabilities and their families. What we do: We sponsor a Therapeutic Care Program: We cover the cost of therapies: Speech, Occupational Therapies, Psychological attention and Family Therapy to children and young adults with disabilities and their families. This contribution significantly improve their quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities. Our Wellness and Nutrition Program: Many kids don't have access to the appropriate diet during their developmental years. They lack key vitamins, minerals, proteins and calorie intake to secure a healthy development. Our children are evaluated by a certified nutritionist in order to identify and address their specific nutritional requirements. The Pantry - Humanitarian Aid Program: We collect food and other items: powder milk, baby formula, gluten free protein bars and powder, vitamins, cereals (gluten & color free), Diapers, toiletries, cloth and more. We also attend to other requirements such as hearing aids, reading glasses and frames, wheelchairs and other supplies. Given the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela we have been able to extend our blessings to children, sick and elderly people in extreme malnutrition and other people in critical need. Results: - Over 2000 hours of therapeutic care - 3000 pounds of food and other supplies have been distributed - Over 500 lives have been touched Our work depends on your generosity.
