Funwares™ is all about light - hearted gifts, kitchen - kitsch, and homewares. Our products combine function, creativity and humor to make everyday life and gift - giving fun. Founded in Hong Kong in 1995 by Robert Kushner, we now have fully staffed offices in both Hong Kong and California. Rob’s first venture , though, started much earlier: as a kid selling candy to his friends from a makeshift storefront in front of his house. Design and manufacturing of gifts and gadget s is a second career for Rob who sidetracked to law school and practiced for a few years. Rob's entrepreneurial drive finally pushed him to abandon law and start his own business, UT Brands, LLC. Funwares™ is one of a few brands within UT Brands. Fast forward and UT Brands have a wide selection of gifts and gadgets that add a unique twist to boring everyday products and gifts. Our design philosophy is to create products that solve problems and offer a “wow” factor. Providing clever solutions is not enough; ergonomics, simplicity and durability are at the heart of our design process. We believe that quirky designers and clever engineers create gadgets with a enduring difference.
