About Future Cycles Training Limited
Future Cycles Training Limited are providers of alternative training for young adults, 14-19 years of age and adults (of all ages). As an EAL approved training centre, Future Cycles Training (FCT) run the Level 2 VRQ Certificate in Cycle Maintenance, which is primarily a 10-day course running for 6.5 hours a day, over two consecutive weeks. However, the programme can be tailored to suit individuals availability and be undertaken over a number of weeks until complete, if candidates are only able to attend 1 or 2 days a week. Included in the price of the course are all required materials, and EAL registration and certification fees. This course gives young people a very good basic level of cycle maintenance knowledge and practical skills to enable them to carry out most maintenance tasks. FCT have a comprehensive range of courses for adults, from basic cycle maintenance right through to advanced wheel-building and the Level 2 VRO Certificate in Cycle Maintenance. Leanne, FCT’s business owner and head trainer, was a very popular member of the team at Future Cycles (Leicester) Limited for 8 years (formerly at the Leicester Adult Education Centre on Wellington street and then Pilot house on King Street). Following the business being closed down, some six months ago, Leanne founded Future Cycles Training Limited in order to continue her enthusiasm for working with young people and adults to enable them to acquire a qualification and further skills to enhance the enjoyment of cycling. (At the present time, October 2020, with more of an emphasis on sustainable and Covid19-friendly travel, there has never been a better time for people to look out their old bikes and get them back into working order and safe, maybe for commuting.) For those who prefer someone else to do the mechanical side of cycling, Future Cycles Training also have a team of qualified technicians to repair and service your bike, and most importantly, to ensure that it is road-worthy!
