About Future Guernsey

We believe in a bright future for islanders, where Guernsey is a welcoming, optimistic place with widespread prosperity. We believe that, with the right leadership, our unique heritage can go hand-in-hand with progress to meet the challenges facing the next generation, creating a thriving place that islanders are proud to call ‘home’. That’s why we have created Future Guernsey. Future Guernsey is a policy-led political movement offering Guernsey a chance to break the current inertia, deliver real change, and positively impact everyday lives now and in the future. We will be collaborative, professional, and disciplined in evidence-based policy making and implementation. As a cohesive group with coherent policies - developed collaboratively with industry leaders and islanders - voters will know exactly what they are voting for, how we plan to deliver it, and who to hold accountable for doing so. Policy is nothing without delivery, and that’s why we have a dedicated working group, solely focussed on ensuring we have the capacity and capability to deliver the policies and changes required. This group is drawn from local experts in legislation, public service, and business management. With our policy-focussed manifesto, we will encourage a new generation of Deputies who act with integrity and ability to pledge their support for Future Guernsey and, if elected, consistently deliver the whole platform in the States of Deliberation. Most likely, that will require the formation of a political party, so the electorate can see who is committed to Future Guernsey’s policy plan. We acknowledge the rich tradition of independence in Guernsey and will of course work in collaboration with those who do not wish to join a party but who share all, or even some, of our policy goals.
