About Future of Design in Higher Education (FDHE)
FDHE (Future of Design in Higher Education) is a community of boots on the ground design educators engaging in real-time collaboration across platforms including: weekly drop-in Zoom calls; a listserve; a Medium channel; and annual, regional, and virtual convenings. FDHE includes more than 100 clinical faculty and research faculty teaching human-centered design and representing a diverse selection of courses, programs, and research from colleges and universities across the globe. Since January 2017, FDHE has hosted several large group convenings. Previous convening hosts include: Southern Methodist University, The Claremont Colleges, University of Texas (Austin), Dartmouth College, and University of Pennsylvania. June 2020 and June 2021 convenings took place virtually. Northwestern University will host our next in-person convening in June 2022.
