Most people know us for our after school sports clubs or childcare. But we offer far more than that. Our coaches are sports trained to a high level (minimum of NGB Level 2 or qualified teacher status) which means that we know what we’re doing when it comes to teaching and coaching children. We know how to make the Primary National Curriculum accessible to all children of all ages at all levels of expertise. This, in turn, allows children to make progress in their sports development whether they’re in school or not. In essence, they’re learning all the time (although we think they have so much fun they don’t even realise it). We don’t just teach what the curriculum tells us to - we actively encourage children to lead their own learning and to think about sportsmanship and teamwork within the session. As a result of our expertise in working with children in a school setting, we’re confident in our ability as childcare providers. We provide a safe, inspiring, happy place for children to play and learn before and after school for parents who need childcare outside of school hours. We have recently become Ofsted registered for these provisions and are extremely proud of this. It’s a huge achievement to meet Ofsted criteria for childcare. At present, we work closely with 35 schools in the South West and, as a result, we have 35 bespoke programmes for each school outlining their needs and expectations of us. We manage this through our own programme, which effectively ensures we know exactly what each school wants from us so that we can give them the best service possible at all times.
