Futures in Education is the parent company of Futures Academy, formerly Halstrom Academy. We updated our name to better align with our innovative education and history. Futures Academy is a unique and enriching academic environment that cultivates the individual personalities, skills and talents of children in a safe, supportive and socially engaging atmosphere. Over 19,000 students, grades 6-12, have embraced the Futures Academy philosophy and one-to-one teaching model to go on to achieve the highest levels of success through education. Futures Academy has 15 campuses located throughout California and is growing, offering year-around open enrollment, one-to-one classes, flexible scheduling options and content mastery learning for students. Classes are customized to each student's learning style and pace. Futures Academy understands that some children struggle because of academic or social issues, while others require a flexible and more focused environment. Futures Academy serves students who are advanced learners, unique learners (ADHD, ADD, advanced learners, social anxiety, etc) as well as actors, artists, and athletes on a full-time or part-time basis. Classes are offered online or on campus. Futures Academy courses align with common core standards and is WASC accredited and UC, CSU and NCAA approved. With a technology enriched curriculum, students use iPads loaded with eTextbooks and learning apps making learning interactive and fun.
