About Fyne Homes

Fyne Homes is a Registered Social Landlord, Scottish Charity and Registered Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and have been operating in Argyll since 1936, the initial activity was delivered by William Woodhouse Strain Trust. Our core purpose is to provide affordable housing across Argyll and Bute, this is done through our best value approach to ensure housing costs are affordable while managing our resources effectively to maintain and improve home to the highest standards. Fyne Homes have over 1500 homes across Mid-Argyll, Cowal and Kintyre peninsulas as well as the Isle of Gigha and Isle of Bute. We have four offices located in Bute, Lochgilphead, Campbeltown and Dunoon. Fyne Homes has an open membership and community based approach, governed by a voluntary Management Committee. We aim to tailor our services to provide appropriate, reliable, accessible housing and support. we respect our customers, staff and Committee; and approach our business and activities with openness and integrity. By engaging with our tenants and stakeholders we can continuously improve our services and meet local needs. Fyne Homes has three subsidiary companies; Fyne Initiatives, Fyne Futures and Fyne Energy and together form the "Fyne Group" . Fyne Initiatives was established in 2005 and is the commercial arm of the Fyne Group, they manage all commercial leases and support Fyne Homes with the design and build element of housing developments. Fyne Futures was established in 2004 and is a registered Scottish charity and operates four strategic business units; Bike Bute, Restyle, Bute Produce and Training & Employability.
