About G & J Peck

G & J Peck Ltd is an employee owned agricultural machinery distributor operating from six depots. Two depots in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, one depot in Norfolk and the latest addition based in Suffolk. The company was founded in 1846 by father and son, George and John Peck who set up a blacksmith and ironmonger business in Ely, Cambridgeshire, where the company’s head office remains based today. With the development in farm machinery, the business expanded to include sales, parts and service of agricultural machinery and equipment. In 1987, the Ramsey St Mary’s, Cambridgeshire depot was opened followed by Mareham-le-Fen, Lincolnshire depot in January 1999. Due to the company’s substantial growth between 1999 and 2006 and the addition of the Pecks AgriTrac division operating with the CASE IH franchise new purpose built premises were built at Pinchbeck near Spalding, Lincolnshire. In 2008, the expansion of the JCB franchise into Norfolk saw the need for an additional depot at Dereham, which was opened in 2014. Due to the continued growth of the company, new larger premises were required in order to house the Ely head office, so in 2016, a new Ely head office was opened. Today Pecks offers a wide range of new and used agricultural machinery and support the farming community with a 7 day a week support service. The company holds market leading agricultural franchises including New Holland, Case IH, JCB, Amazone and Krone. Based at the Ely and Spalding depots we have garden machinery and horticultural equipment centres supplying and servicing a wide range of both domestic and professional equipment. We hold a range of horticultural equipment franchises including Honda, Husqvarna, STIHL, JCB, Hayter and Atco. Within the Ely complex there is a large modern retail store offering a wide range of goods including country clothing, footwear, tools and DIY accessories to name just a few.
