About Gabbiano
The company was founded in 1965 by Carlo Dodi and started its business as a wholesaler of household cleaning products. In 1972 the company introduced blister products to the market and in the early ‘80s, following the acquisition of the Epfina company, the merchandising service was introduced. In 1990 Gabbiano built the first automated gravity warehouse, which continues to guarantee first-rate efficiency and economic parameters. Over the last few years, Gabbiano has acquired 7 different companies to achieve the following objectives: 1. Gala Group: to acquire skills and become the leading player in licensing; 2. N.M. Italo Cremona: to become the leading player in ready-to-wear eyewear and licensed hair accessories; 3. Tentations: to obtain leadership in the discount stores industry; 4. NV Corporación: to enter the Spanish market and set the basis for the internationalization of the company; 5. FarmaMed from the Angelini Group: to become a leader in the para-pharmaceutical industry; 6. JMG: to consolidate leadership in the “Party” niche and continue the process of internationalization; 7. Camomilla Milano: to have one of the most important brands in the fashion industry, diversify into the perfumery sector and e-commerce. Now the company has 6 product lines, 100 in-house employees and 220 merchandisers, who supply 13.500 points of sale in the large-scale retail channels and specialized large-scale distribution sectors.
