About Gaelic Business Initiative
The Gaelic Business Initiative (GBI) is a nonprofit volunteer initiative administered by the GaelsConnect.com Business Association with support from the province of Nova Scotia and the NS Office of Gaelic Affairs. GBI has multiple objectives including: • Supporting and growing businesses in their day-to-day operations. • Stimulating the use and growth of Gaelic culture, heritage, and language. • Providing employment opportunities and careers for Gaelic speakers of all ages. • Ensuring the protection and survival of a unique Nova Scotian cultural asset. Simply put, our goal is to energize and unite businesses to celebrate their Gaelic culture, language, and heritage while helping them to grow.
