About Galeria Monopol
Galeria Monopol was established in Warsaw in 2014. The gallery's primary objective is to provide support to artists of diverse generations, facilitating the advancement of their work in Poland and internationally. Since its inception, Galeria Monopol has been committed to integrating art created in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s with the work of contemporary artists. One of the gallery's primary objectives is to facilitate intergenerational dialogue between artists operating within disparate historical and socio-political contexts. The gallery’s activities are focused on phenomena that demonstrate the continuity of selected contemporary art traditions. In addition to its exhibition programme, the gallery also engages in publishing activities, including the compilation and dissemination of the archives of artists who debuted in the 1970s, such as Andrzej Partum, Zbigniew Warpechowski and Krzysztof Zarębski.
