About Gallery Avenue Art & Cutler Crane Contemporary Gallery
Avenue Art opened its doors in December, 1995 with the mission to promote and present Canadian emerging artists with a local focus on the Montreal/Quebec's unique artistic flavor. Embedded in the artistic community, Marina Cutler, the founder and gallery curator has introduced the Montreal community to many emerging artists while helping the artists themselves to establish art careers by blending unique marketing strategies with traditional artistic qualities. In 2010, a Canadian Painting Competition, The "Brush Off" was founded by Avenue Art Gallery. Celebrating this growing success story, it continue to introduce Canadian painters to the public each year while raising awareness and funds for art based activities for people living with Alzheimer's disease. In 2016, Avenue Art, continuing to grow with the times closed its permanent location 20 + years after opening their 1st physical located on in a warehouse on the Lachine Canal in Montreal and create a "Global Online Gallery" AVENUEART.CA Realizing that collectors and buyers now seek out art in an entirely different manner, AvenueArt.ca has not only furnished a place for buyers but for international artists as well to come together at their convenience. "What excites artists to work with us and our online gallery is that we are not new to this business, we have a 20 + track record of repeat clients and now engage their children as new collectors." say Marina Cutler. Avenue Art continues to embrace creative marketing and promotional art style events that allow artist's works to be seen in person for short periods of time at a private function, corporate collaboration or "Pop Up" Galleries. In 2017, "THE BRUSH OFF" competition partnered with Mountain Lake PBS to create a mini documentary series. As part of this partnership Avenue Art.
