About Gallery Eigenheim

The Galerie Eigenheim understands itself as a "space for art and communication", as a societal tool for investigating social, political and moral issues and independently discussing the means and modes of art and culture. As Galerie Eigenheim has realized over 180 exhibitions and events in the course of the last 4 years and has been working with more than 300 national and international artists and institutions, it has thus become a part of a strong network and an independent voice for the signs of the times. As a "Gallery for Contemporary Bauhaus" it has a main focus the representing, collecting, documenting, mediating and communicating a selection of alumni from Bauhaus University Weimar artists. The house artists of the Galerie Eigenheim are, Lars Wild, Julia Scorna, Enrico Freitag, Benedict Braun, Daniel Caleb Thompson, Tilman Porschütz, Björn Jung, Konstantin Bayer and Caucasso Lee Jun. An on-board network in recent years both nationally and internationally, whether Marseille, Shanghai, Seoul, Paris, Berlin or Leipig, the Galerie Eigenheim provides an forward-thinking, structured profile.
