About Gambling Leap
Did you know that over 20% of the UK population is directly or indirectly affected by gambling addiction? Every single day, more than two lives are lost to this silent epidemic, leaving families shattered and communities struggling to cope. Gambling addiction isn’t just a personal battle—it’s a public health crisis demanding urgent attention. At Gambling Leap, we are committed to breaking the cycle of harm caused by gambling addiction. Founded by someone who personally overcame 25 years of gambling addiction, our organization is dedicated to creating lasting change. We focus on impactful awareness and prevention programs, reaching schools, colleges, prisons, sports teams, and workplaces across the UK. Our mission is to share powerful stories, challenge stigmas, and provide individuals with the tools and knowledge to resist the grip of gambling. Since the launch of our "My Gambling Story" campaign in June 2024, we've sparked thousands of meaningful conversations, shedding light on this often-overlooked issue. But there’s still so much to do. The rise in gambling advertisements, particularly targeting women, has led to a worrying increase in problem gambling. With the number of problem gamblers doubling in recent years, the need for change has never been more urgent. At Gambling Leap, we believe in solutions—not silence. By working together, we can expand our programs, develop innovative prevention tools, and protect vulnerable communities from the devastating effects of gambling addiction. This is your chance to make a difference. Join us in building a healthier, more informed society and safeguarding future generations from this hidden epidemic. Let’s connect and explore how your support can help us turn this mission into reality.
