Game of Homes is a fun, engaging workshop designed to tackle serious issues in social housing — whether that’s complaints, service redesign, policy changes or something else entirely. It’s grounded in behavioural science and self determination – autonomy, competence, relationships: meaningful – and gives participants an equal voice. Gamification is not new but it brings out the child in all of us, generating creativity, trust and new ways of thinking Over a few dynamic hours, people co-create real solutions using a structured flow, striking scenery boards, and powerful prompts. It’s playful on the surface, but the outcomes are realistic and actionable. It’s always facilitated by people who’ve worked inside housing providers, so we really understand the pressures, the politics, and the importance of transparency and accountability. Why is it needed? Because top-down solutions built on outdated frameworks just don’t cut it anymore—people want genuine, authentic engagement.
