About GameFace 4:13 Training Academy

GameFace 4:13 Training Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on mentoring youth physically, mentally, and spiritually through the game of basketball. Our name is derived from our three pillars of training and conveys the confidence we wish to instill in our athletes. GameFace is a mentality and an attitude one carries. It denotes a sense of readiness and determination to take on life’s challenges. 4:13 represents the scripture of Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Our mission is to train young men and women on a holistic level in the most powerful way possible to have a lasting impact on the lives of youth. Our program goes beyond the lines of the basketball court and teaches valuable life lessons. Some topics include character development, treatment of others, and moral values that are discussed between the children and their mentors. We not only want our students to succeed but to be leaders both on and off the court. We aim to educate and mentor the youth in our program to not only become better individuals but better people in society. Research conducted through surveys shows the kids are coming out of our program showing more discipline, attention to their teachers, and the ability and will to set goals.
